Read a statement below from Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition:
"Senator Obama talks about bringing hope, faith and change to American politics. We now see this is all just political 'doublespeak.' One of his top priorities as President would be protecting abortion rights and even expanding them. If elected, Senator Obama would become 'The Abortion President,' with the most extremist policies on abortion of any President in history. "Senator Obama's views on abortion are so radical that he even wants American citizens to pay for them. This would include Catholics, Evangelicals and all people of faith. He would also expand abortion rights through his passionate support of The Freedom of Choice Act. "The Christian Defense Coalition will be working diligently over the next 5 months before the November elections to educate people of faith, especially Catholics, that Barack Obama wants them to pay for abortions. This is not a candidate who is concerned about social justice, hope and equality. Rather, this is candidate who will continue the violence and pain of abortion and refuse to end this tragic war against America's women and children."
Obama's campaign spokesman Hari Sevugan sent out the following statement:
“Barack Obama understands that the best way to reduce the need for abortions is to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies. He is committed to commonsense solutions to achieve that objective and to changing the tone of the discourse which for too long has devolved into false and negative attacks such as this that do nothing to accomplish that goal”

You're a male and you're white and I assume you're doing ok financially so unlike you Obama understands.Or maybe its America and he believes in people's individual rights. It may be unethical but let that person decide not you. : )
Have a nice day boo!
I don't think I fully understand how me being white has anything to do with any of this? If there was a white candidate and he wanted to reinstate slavery I would be against him in the same manner.
Financially I believe that Mr. Obama has me beat on that category, I am actually broke...
People’s rights? Did the slaves deserve rights when they were being bought and sold? Yes
Did they get those rights? Eventually yes the people realized that they are humans and deserved equal rights. Same thing here, the baby in the womb is not the property of the mother. She doesn't "own" the baby any more than a person could "own" a slave. So we can take away the babies rights but not the mothers because she is somehow more “alive” or more human than the baby?
I believe in America and the rights it provides its individuals but i strongly disagree with the stand that Obama has on abortion. It is unethical no matter what. Abortion is murder because born yet or not that baby is a human being. Being women we are surrounded with choices. the government, family, friends, and ourselves all have something to say about everything. Yet, even though one choice might be more convenient it doesn’t' mean it's what’s right. our society views unwanted pregnancy as inconvenient. However, they fail to see it was their own irresponsible behavior that got them there. There is nothing wrong with adoption. at least that can give that baby a chance to live the life it was made for. If Obama stands for a nation of abortion, the future of this generation is doomed. With the abortion rate now, half if not more of it will not even exist. He claims to bring hope to America but there is certainly none in the death of children.
If the question is about rights then I think it should be concerning the baby's not the mother's. We are all entitled to LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. So far our track record hasn't even upheld the first one. Through our history as Americans we have gone from one genocide to another. We started with the Native Americans and now were after a generation. It's not about the rights of those that choose life or death, it's about the rights of the victims. It always has been and I don't see why that would change. I honestly haven't heard a good argument for the systematic killing of innocent people, and I haven't heard a good defense for those that stand by and do nothing either.
All I'm trying to say is that the only rights we should be concerned about is those of the victims. It's not about the oppressors but those who are opressed.
